Our Goal: SS materials for every Bolvian Methodist Child

The Plan:Christian Education Curriculum Workshops Each Year: It costs about $3,000 to put on a workshop. This goes for food, housing, travel, and materials to bring together 40-50 lay and clergy together for 6-8 days. (That’s right, this Workshop lasts 6-8 days!) District Training of Sunday School Teachers: Something new we’d like to add this year. No such workshops have ever been provided to Sunday School teachers in the Evangelical Methodist Church of Bolivia (IEMB). For a mere $100 per district, plus materials, we can hold a workshop in each of the 14 Districts of the IEMB and have a huge impact on the teachers and their students.

 Curriculum for every teacher, every student. Rev. David Stephenson once visited the home of a Methodist living in a remote village. One room, adobe walls, dirt floors, tin roof. And there, stuck on to the dirt wall, was a sheet of Sunday School material, creativily colored in by the family’s 6 year old daughter. Currently we print enough material to provide only one teacher’s book and one set of material for each urban congregation; although we try to provide for the total requests from the (poorer) rural districts. But the reality is that even they don’t get enough. Currently $250 will provide one District with all of the costs for materials for 3-months. Our goal is double that and it will cost $500 per district, per quarter.

 Sunday School Supplies: Another one of our dreams is to provide $80-$100 per district to provide for crayons, colored pencils, paper, glue and construction paper for the children. 

Oklahoma Children, raising money for Bolivian Children through VBS!

Our goal is to get about 40-50 Oklahoma Local Church VBS programs to make the Bolivian Christian Education Curriculum Project to be their VBS Mission this year. If each VBS averaged receiving about $400-$500, we would be able to reach our complete goal of $20-25,000.  Go to “Cd’s, Websites, Gifts, and other materials for VBS” to learn about the resources we have put together for you to help you to raise the awareness of your VBs children of the Bolivian Christian Education Curriculum Project.
